This time we’ve worked with Zero-G Studio in China to bring to you their first kit, the Z80 – titled “Great Sword”! With a lot of arguing and hard thinking within the studio, over 8 months of experimenting with the design, adding and taking details to see what would be just right, living up to their slogan of “All or Nothing!” we’re delighted to bring to you the “Great Sword”, an amazing board with a complex design and amazing profiles from any angle!

"We tried to incorporate thematic elements of the forging process into the design of the whole kit. Whether it is the blade-bezel inspired side-profile, the highlighting of the blade on the back, or the handling of every sharp line and angle, the theme of the kit has been truly embraced in looks, feel and weight. We wanted this to be more than just a tool, but to add character to your desktop – in the same way, this kit is loaded with our passion and attitude."

1. In order to better support different sized keycaps, the inner sink of the keyboard is now 0.5mm, and the thickness of the case foam has also been changed from 3mm to 2.5mm.

2.We have changed the bottom case recess to allow a slot for a second weight piece, which shows through the cut-out logo on the bottom of the case! Users can see the material body of the second weight through the logo, but without changing much of the original design concept. The optimisation of the design is due to the fact that all special cold weapons have their own special attributes in may games and films. From the beginning we intended to enchant the Great Sword in some way, but without working out how we could do that until now. In the early hours of the morning a few days ago, we found a way to do it and finished and perfected the concept renders.

Our initial second weight will be made of brass - this is the default provided with the kit. This allows customers to be able to replace it as well - if replaced by an aluminium piece of the same colour, it will be returned to the original bottom case design.
For example, it can be brass for strength, aluminium for agility, PVD for magic, wood for life, damascus for artisanship, PC for space. Any kind of material that can be cut into that piece! Files will be provided for customising the piece as well.

1. The top case and the middle frame have all been completed by CNC.
2. In order to obtain a better anode effect, Zero-G have made some optimization and adjustments to the bottom case, middle frame and second weight, and will inform later.
3. The expected completion time is July.
