Adaptive PCB-Mount Stabilizer
DesignerStudio has been working tirelessly with JWICK to produce the PCB-Mount version of their adaptive structure stabilizers. In addition to the advantages carried over from their plate-mount version, they have added new features to better suit custom keyboard users.
Innovative Features
Adaptive Support
Unlike any other stabilizers on the market, DesignerStudio added an elastic part in the insert to better support the wire, which restrains the wire’s free movement in the stabilizer and eliminates rattling and pingy noise. The best part is, users don’t need to tune the wires anymore! Minor bends in the wires are negligible due to this structure. And there is no need to worry about the lifespan of the part; it is integrated-molded with the whole insert and made of high polymer, which proved to be one of the best fatigue-resisting materials during their tests.
Small Upgrade, Great Experience
Compared to their plate-mount version, DesignerStudio first removed the bump on the bottom of the insert. Instead, they prepared two different pads to enhance the bottom-out experience. The Teflon pad provides a solid sound and typing experience, whereas the silicone pad offers gentler and softer feedback.
Furthermore, they modified the mold to suit PCB mounting. The wire’s travel distance is longer compared to the plate-mount version, so they altered the elastic part for better tolerance.
