Design Concept

Retro: Evolution—As the name suggests, this theme intricately weaves together elements from several representative epochs in the developmental journey of humanity to craft its distinctive design.

From the era of ancient apes, Homo erectus, through to Homo sapiens, and into the present era of modern humans, the trajectory of human intelligence has been marked by continuous augmentation, accompanied by the relentless march of technology (and the shedding of fur).

Within this narrative, the yellow novelty keycaps serve as pivotal milestones—representing "fire," "agriculture," "electricity," and "digital"—while the blue-green, cyan, and gray novelty keycaps encapsulate the essence of various epochs in human progress, embodying concepts such as "sun worship (a tribute to nature's bounty)," "stone tools," "mechanical implements," "petrochemicals," "digital workplaces," and "data storage."

The design inspiration behind Enter keycaps draws from a distilled synthesis of the evolutionary tableau of humanity——

From the primordial ape, through the emergence of Homo erectus, to the ascent of Homo sapiens, our modern journey culminates as we, once upright beings, now bend before computer screens, evolving into "code apes."

Hence, in the curation of the glyphs, ASCII computer information interchange codes were employed.

Amidst the ceaseless toil of coding, do the "code apes" ever pause amidst their sighs to marvel at the progress of human intellect?

In terms of color selection, a cool color scheme is primarily adopted, with bright yellow used as an accent. Various shades of cool gray are used as the main tone covering the majority of the key areas.

Blue-green and turquoise are mixed around the peripheral functional areas, highlighting a sense of technology and enhancing the richness of color layers.
